Why The Style Arrow.
So for this post I decided that I was going to dig a little deeper and share more about the blog name The Style Arrow. A few months ago I decided that I was going to take a different direction regarding my blog. I had this nagging feeling that something was missing and that I had no direction for myself. I spent a VERY LONG time researching and understanding this new phenomena or business called”Blogging”. Now you are probably thinking, blogging about stuff is a business? The answer is yes! Maybe I will cover that topic in another post. In the meantime, check out this article about blogging as a business here!
For me blogging is about sharing my personal style and having a creative outlet that is totally independent from being a wife and mother. This little corner called The Style Arrow belongs to me. It has become my sanctuary and something that I am very proud of. One thing that I have learned during this amazing journey of motherhood is self discovery. Do not get me wrong… I think we all go through finding who we are at some stage in our life. For me finding my new identity as a married women and mother has truly shaped much of who I am today. Along the way I was able to give birth to The Style Arrow. I spent a good amount of time thinking about my new blog. I started by researching names and website domains to find a good name would represent my new vision. I would say that the hardest part is to find a name that is authentic to who you are. In my search, I came across a beautiful quote about the word Arrow that described how I feel about this crazy, intense, yet beautiful thing we all call life. The Style part of the new name came from my love for personal style, home decor, beauty, and so forth. I am going to leave you with the quote that launched my website. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback. Have you experienced something similar? What are some of your passions? What is your little corner that you treasure and love? XO! Atena
